3/4 Gallon Hose Bib & Drip System Connection EZ-FLO Fertilizer Injector - For On/Off Pressure Only

One Step Application of water soluble and liquid lawn and garden products. Replaces all other spreaders and sprayers.

  • EZ-FLO Hose Bib and Drip Systems Feed through a Garden Hose, Drip System or After the Irrigation Zone Valve Every time You Water
  • EZ-FLO Hose Bib and Drip Systems can be connected in a variety of ways. Most people attach the unit to a standard exterior water faucet with anti-siphon protection (hose bib) existing on most homes. In addition, it can be connected to an existing sprinkler or drip irrigation system after any valve as long as the unit is only under pressure while it is operating. A Hose Bib unit can be used by any homeowner, nursery or grower simply by attaching it to a standard water faucet. An optional connection kit allows a unit to be attached to an irrigation system.

  • Gardeners have long loved this unit for its ability to feed their flowers, trees and shrubs without constantly refilling the tank. It can be moved around to feed multiple areas.

Tank Capacity:

  • Liquid: Approx. .75 Gal. (2.8 liters)
  • Water Soluble Fertilizer: Recommended 5 lbs. (2.25 kg)

Area of Coverage under normal water conditions*:

  • 100% Turf - Up to 3,000 sq ft
  • 75% Turf / 25% Trees/Shrubs/Flowers - Up to 3,500 sq ft
  • 50% Turf / 50% Trees/Shrubs/Flowers - Up to 5,000 sq ft

*Assumes a refill frequency of 4-6 weeks and watering every other day. Turf requires more water and therefore increases refill frequency. This unit will service larger areas when filled more frequently. Fertilizer requirements may be reduced when used in conjunction with an organic bio-stimulant.

Minimum Flow Requirements: 2.5 gallons/hour (9.5 liters/hr.)

Adjustable Feed Ratio Range (OZ of Fertilizer per gal of water)

  • 1,000:1 - Slow setting .125 OZ. (3/4 Teaspoons)
  • 500:1 - #1 Setting .250 OZ. (1 Teaspoons)
  • 250:1 - #2 Setting .500 OZ. (3 Teaspoons)
  • 100:1 - Fast setting 1.250 OZ. (7 Teaspoons)

Water Volume to Empty Tank:

  • 750 gal (2.8 kl) Slow setting
  • 75 gal (0.28 kl) Fast setting

Dimensions (LxWxH): 6 x 6 x 8 (15cm x 15cm x 20cm)

Approx. Weight: 2 lbs. (.90 kg)

When not using the included Hose Bib connector, an EZFLO Ball Valve Coupling Connector is Required for in-Line, Low Flow Drip Irrigation Installations.

It is important to note that the tanks of these units are made of polyethylene plastic that is not designed to withstand constant water pressure. They need to be depressurized after each use in order to ensure a long service life. They can handle up to 80 PSI (5.5 bars) in their operating mode which is the normal maximum pressure limit for most plumbing systems. All standing water pressure should be relieved after each use.

Additional Info 3

The standard hose installation includes the hose bib adapter. If the hose bib is not separately protected from backflow then a standard anti-siphon valve will also need to be purchased (Part DD-HBV ). In order to convert a Hose and Drip feeder to single sprinkler valve connection, a separate conversion kit is available for purchase (Part #THD-CNV). Finally heavy duty shutoff valves can be separately purchased to isolate the unit from the water stream for when you wash the car or when you need clear water from the hose end. (Part EZFLO-SOV ). These shut-off valves have quick connects that eliminate the need to screw the tubing onto the cap when refilling.

When not using the included Hose Bib connector, an EZFLO Ball Valve Coupling Connector is Required for in-Line, Low Flow Drip Irrigation Installations.

EZ-FLO's patented flow technologies ensure that the proportion of fertilizer to water remains constant from the beginning of the cycle until the tank is depleted of fertilizer. All EZ-FLO fertigation units have an adjustable cap with four basic settings relating to the amount of fertilizer mixed with the water. The proportioning rate is determined by the connection type with the hose bib connection feeding at a faster rate than when a coupling connection is used.

Tips & Tricks

Use Teflon tape on pipe threads

For a water-tight seal

Always use Teflon tape with pipe-threaded fittings. Wrap Teflon tape clockwise 4 - 5 times around pipe threads. Hose-thread fittings use a hose washer to make a water-tight seal.

FAQ

How does micro dosing work with EZ FLO systems

Each time you water, the EZ-FLO system will proportion small amounts (micro doses) of fertilizer in the irrigation water. The patented flow process evenly meters fertilizer from start to finish. The system typically needs refilling every 4 to 6 weeks depending upon feed setting and watering rates. Fill based on desired results.

Water entering the tank is layered over the top of the fertilizer that settles to the bottom of the tank. Fertilizer is drawn from the bottom of the tank, out the clear tubing and into the irrigation system. EZFLOs patented technology ensures consistent metering from start to finish.

One of the unique attributes of an EZ-FLO system is its ability to precisely proportion fertilizer concentrate into a water stream in an extremely accurate manner. We call this "Micro-Dosing". Not only is the amount of fertilizer concentrate proportioned accurately but the individual fertilizer elements of N-P-K are also in consistent ratios when exiting the irrigation system from beginning of the fill cycle to the end of the cycle.

SPRINKLER SYSTEM INFORMATION

Sprinkler irrigation systems are commonly used in lawn irrigation systems and other planted areas where a spray or mist is desirable. For plants that require uniform coverage of water (grass, ground cover, seeds) a sprinkler irrigation system is appropriate.

If you are installing lawn sprinkler irrigation systems, Irrigation Direct carries a variety of supplies and parts like an adjustable nozzles for Rain Bird sprinkler heads. Our shrub adapters are perfect for garden sprinklers and shrub zones.

Combine pop-ups and rotors with electronic sprinkler controllers (timers), and inline valves to automate your landscape sprinkler irrigation system. Browse our Sprinkler System Supplies and Parts to find sprinkler nozzles, bubblers, swing assemblies, cut-off risers, Marlex 90s, and more.

DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM INFORMATIONz

Drip irrigation is a watering method which delivers water to plants slowly and right where they need it at the roots. Where typical pop-up sprinklers spray water into the air and onto plants, drip irrigation systems combine flexible poly drip tubing and drip emitters or "drippers" to both conserve water and save money.

Drip irrigation systems are not affected by wind and will greatly reduce evaporation and runoff common with traditional irrigation systems. Drip irrigation is the perfect solution for raised vegetable garden beds, hanging baskets, and potted plants.
