700 SERIES COMPRESSION COUPLER: DD-C700

The 700 series compression coupler from Irrigation Direct is used with drip irrigation connect two ends of half inch solid tubing or drip emitter tubing - or to make repairs when a goof plug will not work.

When installing, be sure to match up the drip tubing you are using to the correct compression fitting. 700 tubing uses the 700 fittings.

Look for the black compression rings at either end of the coupler. The black ring indicates 700 size

Installing a compression coupler is quick and easy.

To begin, simply cut your drip tubing with a pair of clippers or scissors. Make a straight cut across the pipe to ensure a tight fit. Insert your drip tubing into one end of the compression coupler and press inward, rocking the pipe and fitting back and forth. Use your thumb as a guide or score a mark on the tubing with your fingernail about 1 inch up from the end. Push until one inch of tubing is inserted into the fitting

When installing in cold weather, it helps to dip the tubing in warm water for a few minutes to soften the ends.

Compression fittings make a very tight seal and are difficult to pull apart. If you plan to remove your fittings or detach your drip tubing, use our Direct-Loc coupling.

Direct-Loc fittings are perfect if you need to remove tubing for the winter.

Compression fittings come in several sizes and all are color coded for easy identification. Other common sizes are 620 and 710.

Green rings indicate 620 RainDrip tubing

Blue rings indicate 710 drip tubing

The L700 coupler is just one in a full line of half inch compression fittings available from Irrigation Direct.
