Industrial Surge Protection with "Indicating" LED
This lightning arrester is designed for outdoor installations on service entrance and utility meter cabinets. It is approved for outdoor applications such as irrigation equipment, pumps, lighting fixtures, traffic signaling devices and farm equipment. A green LED is on continually when the arrester is operating normally. When the LED goes off, it’s time to replace the arrester.

Typical Specification:
Unless a lightning arrester is provided with the controller by its manufacturer, the installer shall hard-wire a Paige Electric 250090LED arrester on the 120/240 line of said controller. This arrester shall incorporate a visible green LED to indicate that the unit is ready to fire in case of a power or lightning surge. The arrester shall be periodically inspected, especially after a lightning storm, to ensure that the LED is on. If the LED is not lit, the arrester shall be replaced with a new one.
