Yes. A rain sensor or other type of micro-switch weather sensor may be connected to the DMC Irrigation Controller. The purpose of a rain sensor is to stop watering when precipitation is sufficient. The sensor connects directly to the controller. Our convenient “Rain Sensor Bypass” switch allows you to override the rain sensor by flipping the switch to “Bypass”.

We feel that the jury is still out on sub-surface drip irrigation and its success against root intrusion. Our research department is actively pursuing a solution that will consistently perform for our customers.
