710 SERIES COMPRESSION TEE: DD-T710
The 710 series compression tee from Irrigation Direct is used with drip irrigation to branch off and create lateral lines off of half inch solid tubing.
When installing, be sure to match up the drip tubing you are using to the correct compression fitting. 710 tubing uses the 710 fittings.
Look for the blue compression rings at the ends of the fitting. The blue ring indicates 710 size
Installing a compression tee is quick and easy.
To begin, simply cut your drip tubing with a pair of clippers or scissors. Make a straight cut across the pipe to ensure a tight fit. Insert your drip tubing into one end of the compression tee and press inward, rocking the pipe and fitting back and forth. Use your thumb as a guide or score a mark on the tubing with your fingernail about 1 inch up from the end. Push until one inch of tubing is inserted into the fitting
When installing in cold weather, it helps to dip the tubing in warm water for a few minutes to soften the ends.
Compression fittings make a very tight seal and are difficult to pull apart. If you plan to reuse fittings or detach your drip tubing, use our Direct-Loc tee
Direct-Loc fittings are perfect if you need to remove tubing for the winter.
Compression fittings come in several sizes and all are color coded for easy identification. Other common sizes are 620 and 700.
Green rings indicate 620 RainDrip tubing
Black rings indicate 700 drip tubing
The T710 tee is just one in a full line of half inch compression fittings available from Irrigation Direct.
