Product Description

Drip Irrigation Full Circle Adjustable Sprayer produces 8 streams of water that can be adjusted up to a diameter of 3 feet. Twist the cap to adjust flow rate and diameter. Excellent for shrub plantings, flower beds, trees, and containers. The 6" stake contains a 1/4" connector that can be broken off and used with 1/4" drip tubing. Fix Little Holes With a Goof Plug

Doubles as a 1/4" end plug

If you make a mistake and poke a hole in the wrong place on a drip line, insert a goof plug (small barb). If the hole gets worn and leaks a little, pull the plug out and use the large barbed end. Goof plus are also used to plug the end of 1/4" micro tubing.

Install Micro Spray Fittings With a 5/16" Nut Driver

Save wear & tear on your fingers

Micro spray caps are small and snap on to micro spray bases. Pick up a 5/16" nut driver at your local hardware store. Place the cap in the nut driver and press it onto the spray base. It's much easier on your fingers. Read our Nut Driver Installantion Tutorial.

Cold Weather Trick for Drip Tubing Installation

Dip the ends in warm water

In cold weather, it helps to dip 1/4" or 1/2" poly tubing in warm water for a few minutes. Warm water will soften the ends of the tubing before installation. The tubing will go onto the fittings easier. Give it a shot the next time you are working with solid drip poly tubing or soaker hose dripline.

FAQ

How do I determine my water flow rate?

The flow rate is the amount of water flowing through your water supply line. Since drip emitters and micro sprays consume x gallons per hour, it is important to know the flow rate available to feed your emitters. It is measured in gallons per hour (GPH). To determine the flow rate out of your faucet (hose bibb, spigot, hydrant), read our tutorial on Determing Your Flow Rate.

How do I choose a pressure regulator?

Drip irrigation systems are designed to operate between 20 and 30 psi. Most household water systems are set between 50-70 psi (or higher). A pressure regulator is required to reduce the household water pressure down to the proper range for drip systems. When choosing between a 20 psi and 30 psi regulator, here are some guidelines:

• Non pressure-compensating emitters:  Use 20 psi regulator.
• Fogger mister bubblers: Use a 45 psi regulator.
• Hanging Baskets: Use a 30 psi regulator
• Drip Tape: Use a 10 psi regulator

When using micro sprays and bubblers be sure to consult the water output charts for each product as flow rates very with pressure. For more details, read our tutorial: How to Choose a Drip Regulator. 

Can I combine emitters (drippers) and micro sprays on the same line?

You can combine drip emitters, adjustable drip sprayers, and drip micro sprays all on the same poly tubing (mainline) as long as your total gallon output does not exceed the flow rate available. Drip sprayers can use in excess of 30 gallons per hour so keep track of your water output when designing your drip system. For more details, check out these tutorials:

Bubbler

Used for deep watering of trees and shrubs. Bubblers are generally installed on 1/2" risers, on a per-plant basis, and bubble water only a short distance from the device. A "flood bubbler" is designed to flood irrigate. A "spider bubbler" or "stream bubbler" sprays "fingers" of water that can reach up to 2 feet and is good for watering trees and shrubs.

Micro Sprinkler

Micro sprinklers (also called Rotary Micro Sprayers or Spinners) are a rotating mini sprinkler that is installed on drip tubing. They operate at low pressure (20 psi is ideal), and can cover an area up to 15 feet in diameter. See also Micro Spray.

Micro Spray

Micro spray covers a category of spray caps, bases, one-piece, and adjustable sprayers that are small and designed to operate with drip irrigation systems. They can be used in flower and vegetable gardens and landscapes when you need to water a large area. Caps and bases are combined for a variety of patterns, diameters, and flow rates.
