Tubing Hold Down Plastic Stake – S1
The tubing hold down stake from Irrigation Direct is used with drip irrigation to hold both ½” and ¾” drip tubing in place.
It’s 6 inches in length and made from quality plastic with UV inhibitors for maximum protection.
Its flat top can be hammered to help with installing the stake in the soil.
Installing a hold stake is easy.
Simply layout your drip tubing and place the stake base next to the tubing. Then push the stake down into the soil. A hammer may be used to help if the soil is hard. Be sure the stakes clip sits over the tubing.
The hold down stake is designed to be used in loam or light soils. When installing in harder soils, putting too much force on the stake could cause it to break.
When installation in harder soils, use our wire stake.

Determine Your Soil Type Before Selecting A Drip Emitter
Clay, Loam, Sand
Soil type influences water penetration and runoff. If soil particles are tightly packed (clay soil), water can pool on the surface and eventually flow away from the plants. Water flows quickly through sandy soils. Select low output emitters (1/2gph, 1gph) for clay soil and higher output (2gph, 4gph) for sandy soils. View "Choosing the right Drip Emitter".

The flow rate is the amount of water flowing through your water supply line. Since drip emitters and micro sprays consume x gallons per hour, it is important to know the flow rate available to feed your emitters. It is measured in gallons per hour (GPH).
