How To Install a Drip Irrigation Coupling

710 SERIES COMPRESSION COUPLER: DD-C710
When installing, be sure to match up the drip tubing you are using to the correct compression fitting. 710 tubing uses the 710 fittings.
Look for the blue compression ring at the end of the coupler. The blue ring indicates 710 size
This is the one instance where a 710 fitting doesn’t have blue fittings at both ends. Our C710 coupler has a 710 compression fitting molded into one end and a blue compression fitting glued in to the other end. Not to be confused with, is our CCA700-710 compression coupling adapter, which adapts 710 tubing to 700 tubing. It has a blue compression ring glued in at one end and a black compression ring glued in at the other end
Installing a compression coupler is quick and easy.
To begin, simply cut your drip tubing with a pair of clippers or scissors. Make a straight cut across the pipe to ensure a tight fit. Insert your drip tubing into one end of the compression coupler and press inward, rocking the pipe and fitting back and forth. Use your thumb as a guide or score a mark on the tubing with your fingernail about 1 inch up from the end. Push until one inch of tubing is inserted into the fitting
When installing in cold weather, it helps to dip the tubing in warm water for a few minutes to soften the ends.
Compression fittings make a very tight seal and are difficult to pull apart. If you plan to remove your coupler or detach your drip tubing, use our Direct-Loc coupler
Direct-Loc fittings are perfect if you need to remove tubing for the winter.
Compression fittings come in several sizes and all are color coded for easy identification. Other common sizes are 620 and 700.
Green rings indicate 620 RainDrip tubing
Black rings indicate 700 drip tubing
